- Brush twice a day with a pea-sized toothpaste containing 1350ppm+ Fluoride
- Spit out after brushing and do not rinse
- Clean the gumline, the tongue side of your teeth and in between (with Floss or Interdental brushes such as Tepe) and Single tufted/Interspace (esp. in gum disease)
- The frequency and amount of sugary food and drinks should be reduced and acidic foods/drinks should be limited
- Ask for sugar-free medicines
- Do not smoke or chew tobacco such as Pan/Guthka and reduce alcohol consumption to reduce risk of gum disease and oral cancer
- Have regular examinations and don’t wait for the pain. It may be too late by then!
